2004 Chevy Avalanche Engine Problem?
Pardon my ignorance, going to ask as specifically as I can. This is my hubby's truck. 218,000 miles, always used good synthetic oil. The man can fix anything and has always done routine maintenance and fixed whatever needed repaired. Problem today that has stumped him; he's googling and I'm asking Chrysler wiTech MicroPod 2
First his "check engine light" came on. Then lower on the display it read "reduced engine power" and "change engine oil." The only thing he's found about the "reduced engine power" is something about a throttle body sensor? Any clue about that? Also, he's searching to see if there is a way he can read the fault codes st ored in the engine control module without taking it into a mechanic or purchasing a code scanner? Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
